Ethiopia and Tanzania share experiences in tax administration

A Tanzania Revenue Authority delegation visited the Ministry of Revenues of Ethiopia to share experiences on tax administration today, Nov. 17, 2021.

During the visit, the delegation meets with Ato Nebeyu Samuel, Minister of Revenues' tax advisor.

Ato Nebeyu explained the two countries' shared experience in capacity building, VAT and tax administration during their previous visit. The two neighboring countries' effort on experience sharing helps to transform the tax administration, said the tax advisor.

According to Mr. Michael John, Director of Human Resource Management in the Tanzania Revenue Authority, besides fast and accessible service, experience sharing helps to build sustainable tax administration.

The delegation has been staying in Ethiopia from November 17–November 21, 2021, and they will visit the management information system, large tax payers office, and Customs Commission.
